I made this dress out of an eggplant cotton fabric with a cream abstract print on it. Around the bottom I added some seminole patchwork in purple fabric, bordered by a fine wale cream corduroy. I used that same corduroy to stitch the goddess applique on the front. The bodice has darts for comfort and support and it has a stash pocket on the inside.

What a comfy dress this turned out to be. I used elastic for the back part of the waist to bring it in towards the curve of your back. The shoulder straps are a white crinkled satin feel to it. It went perfect with the multilayered dress.The fabric is a light cotton. I made this dress from stripes of different blue fabrics, and around the bottom of the dress there is a stripe of little square patches of those same fabrics, bordered by a fine wale deep blue corduroy. I think this dress is so pretty and springy! I used a wonderful pastel yellow floral print cotton for the main fabric. For the Seminole patchwork I used that same fabric, a pink striped fabric, and a pastel green and orange floral print. Around the patchwork I made a border of a mellow brown hemp, which I also used for the bodice and the pocket. I stitched an applique of a pretty pink flower on the pocket, which also has a button and a flap to keep your goodies safe. This is one of my new favorite dresses of all time. For the main fabric I used a very mellow green floral print... and then I made a stripe of Seminole patchwork for the border around the bottom of the dress. I used the same mellow green, a swirly brown cotton and to accent it all ~ a super bright burnt orange and yellow striped fabric. Bordering the Seminole patchwork I used a fine wale forest green corduroy which I also used for the bodice. On that I stitched an applique of a Celtic knot crescent moon out of the same bright orange fabric. The bodice also has darts for comfort and support and there is a stash pocket on the inside.

I haven't made a dress with a pleat in the front for a long time ~ and I just had a craving... so here it is! I used some seminole patchwork in oranges and pale pink, bordered by a maroon fine wale corduroy for the front border of the dress. I used the same patchwork for the bottom horizontal border, too. In the middle of the front there is a panel of the pale pink fabric with an applique of a pretty Chinese butterfly at the bottom. The bodice is made of that same maroon corduroy, with darts for comfort and support and a stash pocket on the inside. This dress is finished and i will not alter the length.

I am absolutely amazed with this dress! I stitched a HUGE applique of a beautiful bonsai tree on the front of this dress, with an earthy sage green linen fabric for the background. I also added vertical stripes of brown and green patchwork that are bordered by a deep plum fabric on the front and the back of this dress. This is one of the best, I think! I don't often make dress sets, but this seemed so perfect in my mind that it had to be made. I used stripes of patches in violet, tan, cream, steel gray and coral for the flowing part of the top. For the bodice I used a fine wale plum corduroy, and instead of loops I used grommets for a more fitting, corset style lace-up back. The bodice has darts for comfort and support and it has a stash pocket on the inside. The skirt is made of an unbleached cotton muslin, and the waistband is made from a plum foliage print cotton. On the back of the skirt I stitched a really pretty five petal flower out of the corduroy and a couple of the cotton prints. This dress set is not finished so I will need to know how long you need it!
